Have you ever wanted to learn to sew? Or perhaps you have been looking for that bit of motivation to dust off your machine and get your groove on again.

Tiffany from ‘Thanks it has Pockets’ just adores creating amazing garments and she is joining us in the studio to share all her tips and tricks.

In this workshop we will cover some sewing basics including straight and zig zag stitches, how to tame raw edges and how to create a gathered waistline on a dress. We will work through step by step to create a fabulous dress that can be styled up or down depending on the occasion.

You will have the option to hire one of our sewing machines or you are welcome to BYO.

With Christmas Day fast approaching, why not choose some Christmas fabric and make an amazing dress for the festive season.

If you have a fabric stash at home to raid or if you'd like to browse the fabric store to find the perfect print for your dress you will need to take one measurement and multiply by 2.  Take a measurement from the top of your shoulder, down the front of your body to your desired skirt length then multiply this measurement by 2. You will need to buy cotton poplin to that length and thread to match.

If you'd prefer us to provide the fabric and thread simply head to our 'other products' page ( where fabrics can be purchased for the workshop.

You will also receive a ‘Thanks it has Pockets’ dressmaking how to booklet and Tiffany’s pocket pattern to take home so you can recreate the skirt over and over again and add pockets if your heart so desires.

Suitable for beginners or those who wish to refine their skills.

We welcome anyone who’d like to join us and connect with like-minded people while getting their craft on!   Gather your friends or come alone.
