WORKSHOP OVERVIEW

Sometimes things that are broken are the most beautiful of all!  In this workshop, local creative, Sara Ramsden will share her knowledge and passion for this addictive medium.

Sara will introduce you to the world of mosaics and guide you as you create your own mosaic bee bath.

A bee bath is a simple bee water feeder that can be placed in your home garden for your pollinating guests to visit.

During this workshop you will choose your design and colours then get some hands on practice hammering your tiles and cutting them with nippers. Sara will share her tricks of the trade and teach you about tile placement, spacing and adhesion.  You will learn to achieve different levels to allow the bees to access the water so they can step down and drink without drowning.  Before you leave you will choose your grout and learn an effective grouting technique.

You will leave the studio with your beautiful and unique un-grouted creation.  It will require approximately 24 hours to dry before you grout it at home using the materials and instructions provided during the workshop.  We will also send you home with a sealer which is environmentally friendly.

All materials are included.
